The T 144 H Plus is a light telehandler of just 2.4tonne but is well distributed between the two axles. It makes it possible to work on fragile ground or even to be transported on a trailer. Rear steering wheels facilitate loading tasks with a turning radius of less than 3m.

It handles loads of up to 1,350 kg at a maximum height of 3.9m. This machine can reach horizontally 2.2m with a 550kg load and it is the ideal equipment for professionals seeking the minimum investment and operating costs.

It is a functional alternative to a skid steer loader with better capacity, reach and lifting height. In addition, its compact size of only 1.41m wide and 3.71m long allows it to be used in confined spaces.

The telehandler is powered by a low-noise 22.7kW Kubota engine which also provides low fuel consumption. AUSAs own-design hydrostatic transmission with an automatic anti-slippery system enhances performance of the permanent 4WD transmission, offering lower fuel consumption and less tyre wear.

The spacious and easily accessible operator’s position has been created to minimise fatigue. All controls grouped in a joystick for an intuitive operation.

Manitou has extended its Easy machine options to cover machines up to and including the 18m class MT1840. The company said that the move follows the introduction of an Easy version of its very popular MT625H compact telescopic handler. Manitou’s new MT732 to MT1840 Easy telehandlers meet the Stage IIIB emissions requirements by using a 55.4kW Deutz TD36L engine with a Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC). Importantly, this engine does not require a DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) or the use of a Diesel Exhaust

Stricter emissions legislation mean that new engine technology and integrated drivetrain systems are being developed. With the Tier 3/Stage IIIA emissions legislation now in place in North America and Europe, the major engine manufacturers already have an array of solutions on the market. The coming Tier 4 interim/Stage IIIB legislation will be tougher still and most firms are well in hand with their plans to use both in-cylinder and exhaust after-treatment technology. While engines themselves are staying b
