161 Atlas Copco’s WEDA electric submersible pumps make their debut on the American market with a new range for professional users.

The new additions to the range are 1hp and under, c-UL-us approved, 60Hz single-phase drainage, sludge and residual pumps. They come in two voltage variants, 115V and 230V, and join the 50Hz range that is already popular in Europe and in the rest of the world.

Each of the pumps is now available in a 50Hz and a 60Hz version, and the range consists of the WEDA 04 and WEDA 08 drainage pumps; the WEDA 04B residual pump and the WEDA 04S and 08S sludge/trash pumps.

The WEDA 04 and WEDA 08 are single-phase electric submersible dewatering pumps with maximum flow rate capacities of 66-86 gallons (250-325.5litres/minute) and maximum heads of 37-50feet (112.7-152m) and can be quickly put to work in a wide range of dewatering situations, while the WEDA 04B residual pump draws water down to 1mm. The WEDA 04S and WEDA 08S sludge/trash pumps are sand and mud-resistant.

“After the success of WEDA in Europe, we are looking forward to demonstrating our commitment in developing products that respond to the requirements of contractors, rental companies and pump dealers in the American market,” says Abet Cantuba, product marketing manager pumps for Atlas Copco Portable Energy.

This is a completely new generation of pneumatic-tyre rollers, which have been a permanent feature of HAMM's product range since the 1960s. The new HP series model stands out thanks to the large, newly designed water tank. Like the diesel tank, it is generously dimensioned so that the machines have sufficient capacity for a full working day without stopping to refill. Tecnoidea has introduced a plate press filtration plant with high-beam design, which is capable of working at pressures up to 16bar and said to speed the location of and replacement of breached filters. The modular design can have up to 100 pairs of filters to cope with flows up to 9,000lit/min and each pair has an individual drain, making it easier to locate breached filters. For ease and speed of replacing breached filter material, the high-beam design incorporates a handling system to remove the relevant
