Astec debuts 100% RAP plant

Asphalt plant manufacturer Astec, an Astec Industries company, has outlined its innovative approach by offering asphalt mix producers a 100% reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) plant. Asphalt plant manufacturer 1250 Astec, an 681 Astec Industries company, has outlined its innovative approach by offering asphalt mix producers a 100% reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) plant.

With the addition of the 100% RAP plant to its product line, Astec said it  is now able to offer a complete array of plants covering the spectrum from 0% to 100% RAP usage.

Astec calls the 100% RAP plant the RAP KING, and it is being seen as part of a display showcasing the company’s entire range of drum offerings highlighting RAP usage.

Astec president Malcolm Swanson says: “The RAP KING 100% RAP plant represents the culmination of efforts to offer producers a viable option for safely and efficiently producing a mix with only RAP.”
