Amman’s powerful performance plate provides productivity

Ammann claims high productivity and performance for its powerful new plate compactor. The newly-developed APH 110-95 widens the firm’s range of triple-shaft units and delivers 110kN, making it this is the most powerful vibratory plate compactor ever built by Ammann. Amman’s productive APH 110-95 plate compactor offers high productivity
6791 Ammann claims high productivity and performance for its powerful new plate compactor. The newly-developed APH 110-95 widens the firm’s range of triple-shaft units and delivers 110kN, making it this is the most powerful vibratory plate compactor ever built by Ammann. This innovative unit is said to set new performance standards and features a fully hydraulic enclosed drive system with no V-belts and no centrifugal clutch, eliminating wearing parts in the drive. Smooth operation is claimed as a result, with power provided by a water-cooled 1265 Kubota D1105 3-cylinder diesel. The plate compactor offers a working speed of 37m/min and working widths of up to 950mm, allowing it to achieve surface coverage of 2,109m2/hour and equivalent to a 7tonne single drum roller.

Weighing 825kg the unit offers a working width of 950mm, delivers a centrifugal force of 110kN and works at a frequency of 48Hz. Other features include high compaction even on cohesive substrates due to its triple-shaft exciter, a fold-down hood for access to all servicing points and an emergency stop function on the guide handle head.

    February 7, 2013
Ammann’s new AVA 250 machine is its first add-on compactor specifically designed for mini-excavators. Described by the Swiss firm as an efficient add-on compactor for use on mini-excavators weighing at least 2tonnes, the AVA 250 can also be used on backhoe loaders. A built-in twin-shaft exciter is said by Ammann to give the AVA 250 maximum directed compaction energy. With a working weight of 180kg and a centrifugal force of 20kN, the AVA 250 is said to prevent any vibration transfer to the loader’s boom.
