Ammann’s APH 6530 ACEecon vibratory plate on show at Conexpo for first time

Ammann’s APH 6530 ACEecon fully hydraulic vibratory plate is making its Conexpo debut at the 2014 show. ACEecon is described by the Swiss firm as a simple and robust compaction display system that indicates the compaction progress together with the maximum compaction level achievable with the machine, via an easily readable LED scale. The operator is integrated in the process and can intervene accordingly, therefore avoiding overcompaction and unnecessary passes.

Fitted with a 7125 Hatz Diesel 1D81 engine, the APH 6530 vibratory plate has an operating weight of 530kg, a working width of up to 85cm. Its maximum surface compaction is up to 1630m²/hour.

Ammann says the APH 6530 produces outstanding surface compaction results, with other notable features being an electric starter and a triple-shaft exciter and orbitrol steering.

The AV 120 X asphalt roller is the latest addition to the family of articulated tandem rollers produced by Ammann. Equipped with 1880mm wide drums, the AV 120 X has been produced for efficient compaction on asphalt mixes and binder courses. An unobstructed view of the drum, a sliding and rotating operator’s station and a drive system with two hydraulic pumps is claimed to deliver improved driving and rolling properties. The 11tonne machine is powered by a Cummins QSB 3.3 engine and delivers a static line lo
