Flintec is offering its touch screen, FT-30M on-board vehicle weight indicator. The unit has a colour touchscreen display and is capable of displaying weights in either kg or lbs. It can be used for recording and printing container receipts. Data can be downloaded, viewed or printed via the multiple connections available, including USB and RS232. It runs a Windows-embedded operating system, which is said to allow for easy system updates and software modifications, if required.

FT-30M is said to be easy to operate. Standard features include anti-tamper password protection, onscreen diagnostics and internal flash memory for storing weights.

Integration with trackers and printers increases versatility and ease of use. The FT-30M can be used for measuring and recording loaded weights, while readings can be taken at the point of loading, avoiding overload penalties. Weights can also be linked to customer accounts and transferred easily to back-office software systems for administrative purposes.

In addition, Flintec has developed a range of on-board weighing load cells. Various high-capacity, high-accuracy, stainless steel load cells are available for use with the FT-30M.
