Laser Technology says that its new TruSpeed S unit is offered at a price comparable to other enforcement technology
3098 Laser Technology now offers an accurate and compact speed measurement tool in the shape of its TruSpeed S package. Rugged and durable, the unit is also said to be affordable and weighs less than 450grammes.

The unit features a binocular style design and is said to be robust enough to handle extreme conditions that police officers face.

Speed readings and menu options are displayed inside the sighting scope, which has a 7x magnification so that an officer can verify a vehicle's speed while scrutinising the target.

The BlackMask LCD system also allows the user to view the target clearly in both dark and bright light conditions. The TruSpeed S is a simple point and shoot laser that fits into the palm of the hand and can be easily stowed. Laser precision targeting within heavy traffic is becoming more and more of a necessity, but historically lidar was too expensive for some departments.

Machine control technologies were pioneered in the concrete paving sector with systems having been used for over 10 years. Leica Geosystems was the first of the machine control technology suppliers to offer these systems on concrete slipforming machines and has developed a strong position in this segment.
