Flygy Bibo pumps are submersible
The latest Flygt Bibo submersible pump from 3936 Xylem made its debut in a blue bubble-filled tank to demonstrate that it is at home underwater.

The model from the latest range was joined on the stand by two other Xylem Water Solutions launches – enhanced drainage pumps from the 2600 series and the new Godwin Vac-Prime pump for lower-head applications.

Xylem vice president and business unit leader Andrew Jones said that the new Flygt Bibo 2800 pump represents a breakthough innovation for dewatering. The improved pump has been developed from the original Flygt Bibo – whose sales now top a million – but with upgrades for improved wear resistance and reduced downtime. Features include Xylem’s DuraSpin hydraulic system, a new plug-in seal and a single impeller-adjustment screw.

Jones said that the new Flygt Bibo 2800 series is engineered by professionals for professionals, for use in the hardest environments. It is targeted at tough dewatering applications such as quarrying, construction and tunnelling. There are four new models in the series – the 2830, 2840, 2860 and 2870. The range is capable of handling flows of up to 100litres/second, heads of up to 80m and solids up to 12mm in diameter.
