XGMA’s mini loaders XG904 or XG902 are among the full range of Xiamen XGMA Machinery being exhibited at Intermat 2012.
2620 Xiamen XGMA Machinery’s (known as XGMA) XG904 mini loader is said by the Chinese company to be “one machine for multi applications”. The highly versatile machine can be used in an array of applications including utilities work, loading duties or more specialised work when fitted with attachments rather than a bucket. The XG904s TUV-CE certification, standard configuration of FOPS/ROPS and electrical safety protection enables the machine to be as strong on environmental protection and energy-saving as it is on durability and high lifting force. Productivity is said to be high, while all-round visibility is said to be good.
AFW350 and AFT350 are the latest medium-sized asphalt pavers from Ammann and are said to offer good manoeuvrability in confined areas. The hydrostatically driven machines offer a paving width from 1.8-3.5metres and the output potential of up to 230tonnes/hour. A wide range of optional equipment is available to improve paver performance. These include a vibratory screed or a tamping/vibratory screed that can be heated with either gas or electricity, and automatic lighting and temperature control functions.
The Daemonator struck fear into the hearts of its competitors during INTERMAT, according to Won-Hae Lee, chairman of Korean attachment firm Daemo Engineering. Complete with flashing lights and intimidating electronic voice, the attachment-wielding 2.4m high robot, modelled loosely on a Transformers character, uses Daemo’s hammers, shears, compaction plates and grabs as part of its construction.

Additions to Cat’s mini excavator range at INTERMAT include the 301.7D and 302.4D. With operating weights of 1.8 and 2.4tonnes respectively, the two new machines will replace the UK-built 301.8C and 302.5C later this year, when they go into production. Key features include expandable track frames, standard and long stick options, stand and extended blade frames, plus canopy and full cab versions – the latter uses a single, left-hand door design.
