XGMA is making moves to increase exports and has already been marketing its products internationally with the latest compact machines having been seen in Europe earlier this year

Founded in 1951, XGMA produces an extensive range of construction equipment at the largest single-manufacturer industrial park in China. XGMA, otherwise known as Xiagong, is based at Xiamen in southern China and its massive facility has an annual production capacity of 50,000 units.

2713 XGMA, like many of the larger Chinese manufacturers, says that its current export levels represent around 10% of its total production output, with these machines mainly being for the emerging markets. But spurred on by the recent drop in domestic demand, XGMA is making significant efforts to increase its export footprint and the company hopes to attract strong interest from overseas clients at the upcoming bauma China 2012 event. The company certainly has the capacity to meet international demand while its production facility is new and highly efficient, ensuring quality output.

At bauma China, the company will focus strongly on new products and says that it will be showing up to 25 new models. Key product introductions will include a 12tonne tandem roller that features a sophisticated automatic control system. This Tier 3/Stage IIIA compliant machine is the fruit of a five year development programme. Also being unveiled is XGMA’s first crawler-mounted asphalt paver, which features a 12m screed and will be aimed at the same asphalt road construction market as the new twin drum roller. For the earthmoving sector, a key introduction is the firm’s largest-yet excavator, at 48tonnes it is offered with a choice of 196 Cummins or 2724 Isuzu power. A novel addition to the earthmoving equipment range is a CNG-fuelled excavator weighing in at 22tonnes, which will suit requirements for low exhaust emissions demanded in certain applications. Meanwhile other new models from XGMA include skid-steer loaders, backhoe-loaders, and mini-excavators, all of which are available with Tier 3/Stage IIIA compliant engines.
