Lower fuel costs are claimed for XCMG's large hydraulic excavator
The new 130tonne class hydraulic excavator from 2490 XCMG offers key innovations for the market, as well as high quality construction. This new XE1300C unit from XCMG is suitable for operating at the face in a large quarry for example, with a heavy duty rock bucket fitted with long life imported teeth and wear material. Power comes from a 196 Cummins diesel, it has a slew speed of 4.8rpm and the machine offers a digging depth of 8.7m. The structure of the machine is heavily reinforced so as to be able to cope with touch site applications. Its introduction marks a steady move up the size scale for XCMG in relation to its crawler excavator range. The company has previously focussed on smaller excavators but the new XE1300C shows how the company is investing in research and development by introducing new larger crawler excavators for the extraction markets.
