The organisers of WoA/AGG 2015 hope to beat the strong performance of the 2013 event

The organisers of the 2015 6069 World of Asphalt (WoA) exhibition and the co-located and AGG 1 event are bullish over bookings. Being held in Baltimore from March 17th-19th 2015, the exhibition looks set to grow on the success of the previous events. Organised by the 1100 Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), the event will display equipment, products and technologies for the aggregates, asphalt, pavement maintenance and traffic safety sectors. The AEM also says that exhibit space sales are tracking ahead of previous show cycles as leading companies sign on to display their newest technologies. Visitor numbers at the last two WoA/AGG events run in Texas and North Carolina have been particularly healthy and for 2015, the organisers say the education and conference sessions will be further developed. The AEM says that attendees will find new and expanded industry education sessions, while co-located industry meetings and support will boost show networking opportunities. The People, Plants and Paving Training Program and AGG1 Academy will both offer additional sessions, and the 3464 National Asphalt Pavement Association (NAPA) and National Stone, Sand and Gravel Association (NSSGA) are coordinating a joint track. Also adding sessions is the Beyond Compliance conference focused on environment, health, and safety at asphalt plants and paving sites. Attendees can also take advantage of the returning Safety in the Work Zone seminar organised by the American Road and Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA). Co-locating events at the shows to date are the Maryland Asphalt Association with its annual conference and the North East Asphalt User/Producer Group with executive board and steering committee meetings. The event is being held at the Baltimore Convention Centre. The shows are industry-owned and operated. AGG 1 is owned by NSSGA, and World of Asphalt is owned by NAPA, NSSGA and Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM).
