Work has begun on the Long Van-Long My road in Vietnam's Binh Dinh province. The US $47.71 million project (VND 995bn), due for completion in 2015, will create a 7km road connecting National Highways 1D and 1A in Quy Nhon town.

Work has begun on the Long Van-Long My road in Vietnam's Binh Dinh province.
The US $47.71 million project (VND 995bn), due for completion in 2015, will create a 7km road connecting National Highways 1D and 1A in Quy Nhon town.
In Vietnam work is now being carried out on a new highway to connect southern province to Central Highlands, while progress is being achieved on the Ca Pass Tunnel project. A 200km highway has been proposed that will link Dong Nai province with Lam Dong province. The project would extend from Thong Nhat Commune in Dong Nai to Lam Dong's Lien Khuong-Prenn highway and is subject to approval from Vietnam’s Ministry of Transport. The authorities in Vietnam’s coastal Quang Ninh Province have set out a transport infrastructure development plan. The programme of works will prioritise development of the Van Don Economic Zone (Van Don EZ) under the plan. The programme of works involved is expected to be worth US$358 million.
New roads are planned, along with new bridges to provide better connections to some of the many islands in the province. The existing Van Don Airport will also benefit from an upgrade to boost capacity.
