Work has begun on the Long Van-Long My road in Vietnam's Binh Dinh province. The US $47.71 million project (VND 995bn), due for completion in 2015, will create a 7km road connecting National Highways 1D and 1A in Quy Nhon town.

The US $47.71 million project (VND 995bn), due for completion in 2015, will create a 7km road connecting National Highways 1D and 1A in Quy Nhon town.
Working is commencing on a key road project in Argentina’s Buenos Aires Province. The road will connect Canuelas, on the south western outskirts of capital Buenos Aires, with the town of Azul. The improved route will boost transport between Buenos Aires and Azul, which lies to the south west of the capital, and will also pass through the towns of Las Flores and Cachari. A major new highway project is starting shortly in Vietnam, which will improve the country's links with its neighbours. The US$440 million project is for a 220km highway in the Mekong Delta and will eventually form part of a 1,000km road connecting Vietnam with Cambodia and Thailand.
In China's Xinjiang region, the G30 Sailimu Lake-Wusu highway renovation and the Kashgar-Aksu highway construction projects have been approved by the regional authority. Vietnam’s road safety statistics are improving, a major development for the country. Between December the 16th 2015 and November the 15th 2016, there were 19,429 crashes in Vietnam, a drop of 1,426 than from the same period in the previous year. Meanwhile injuries due to road crashes dropped by 1,990 to 17,184 for the period compared with the previous year. Road deaths during this time reached 7,907.
