The US $47.71 million project (VND 995bn), due for completion in 2015, will create a 7km road connecting National Highways 1D and 1A in Quy Nhon town.
Work on a new 172km highway is underway in Morocco. Financing worth US$706.7 million is being budgeted for the new highway, which will connect Berrechid-Beni with Mellal. The new highway will have two toll booths and three rest areas. The project is due for completion in 2014, with the first stretch in the Tadla-Azilal area expected to open to traffic June 2013. Both Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) and Hanoi in Vietnam are to benefit from new transport infrastructure. For HCMC, as much as $39.6 billion will be required to deliver all of the 85 transport infrastructure projects being planned. Severe congestion and flooding are frequent problems causing major traffic hold-ups. Of the 85 transport projects needed for the city, 15 are for the construction of new roads while 55 are for road/bridge works. A further eight are for rail links and seven for waterways.

Funding from South Korea will help finance work on a key road link for the Vietnamese city of Hanoi. The state-run Export-Import Bank (EXIM) of Korea will provide loans worth up to US$200 million to build the 17.85km road, which will connect Hanoi to a nearby industrial area. The four lane road will link the Nhon Trach industrial complex with Ho Chi Minh (HCM) City. The EximBank’s economic development cooperation fund is supplying the loans.
