Work has begun on the Long Van-Long My road in Vietnam's Binh Dinh province. The US $47.71 million project (VND 995bn), due for completion in 2015, will create a 7km road connecting National Highways 1D and 1A in Quy Nhon town.

The US $47.71 million project (VND 995bn), due for completion in 2015, will create a 7km road connecting National Highways 1D and 1A in Quy Nhon town.
Road safety in Vietnam is showing continued signs of improvement, a major step forward in Asia where road crashes are a serious problem. Across most of Asia, road deaths are increasing as vehicle ownership grows but Vietnam is bucking the trend and lowering the annual death toll. The latest data from Vietnam’s National Committee for Traffic Safety reveals that traffic deaths, crashes and injuries were all reduce in the period from January to July 2017.
Slovakia’s national motorway company NDS has confirmed the D1 motorway between Hubova and Ivachnova is on schedule to be completed by mid-2022.
Work on the 15km stretch of road – effectively a bypass for the town of Ruzomberok –was started in 2013. But a major landslide in 2015 halted work, pushing back completion from 2017 to 2022 at the latest estimate.
Montenegrin media report that the cost of the project has grown from €227 million in 2013 to nearly €289 million. Construction is being carried out
