2394 Volvo Construction Equipment is offering three new models of ultra-high reach demolition excavator, which it says are specially tailored to the rigors of demolition at heights.

These are the 21m reach EC380DHR; the 27m reach EC480DHR, and the 32m reach EC700CHR, all of which can be fitted with both high-reach equipment and a standard boom-and-arm configuration. The company says the ability to switch from one type of boom-arm configuration to another with ease facilitates a higher return on customers’ investment. And a hydraulic modular joint enables a 30-minute quick change from demolition to standard attachment, boosting machine utilisation when not required for high reach projects.

“With new styling enhancements, the EC380DHR, EC480DHR and the EC700CHR are better, stronger, and faster than the machines that preceded them. These ultra-high reach excavators (EC380DHR and EC480DHR only) come equipped with a Volvo D13 Tier 4i/Stage IIIB-certified engine, for lower emissions and increased horsepower and engine torque. Productivity is boosted with higher main hydraulic pressure and better hydraulic flow, as well as increased swing speed, travel speed, arm tear-out and bucket breakout forces,” says Volvo CE.

Volvo’s telematics system, CareTrack, comes as standard for three years.
