Volvo has developed new attachments tailored to its machines
2394 Volvo’s latest machines have been joined at bauma by a clutch of new attachments, including excavator buckets and a hydraulic breaker range.

The range of tailored buckets and hydraulic breakers is designed to match the technical and performance characteristics of Volvo machines. Introductions include general-purpose and heavy-duty buckets for large excavators and a new line of hydraulic breakers for compact excavators.

The buckets for the larger excavators are optimised for ground penetration and formed in high-tensile steel with wear plates for durability. A new profile for the roof structure also adds greater strength and durability.

The general-purpose range is said to be ideal for digging and rehandling soft-to-medium, and comes in several direct-fit or quick-coupler interfaces.

New heavy-duty buckets suit mining or quarrying applications and are described as being optimised to resist the rigors of the toughest applications.
A reinforced roof structure and wear strips cover more than 80% of the bottom area, and side-wear plates cover 50% of the sides.

Volvo CE’s HB-Series hydraulic breakers for utility equipment are optimised to the specific weights of Volvo machines and tailored to Volvo quick couplers. Volvo CE’s HB02 to HB08 models are equipped with a cushion damper to reduce noise and vibration through the machine for greater operator comfort and safety and less damage to the boom and arm.

JCB is expanding its range of mini excavators with the launch of the 8026 CTS. The 8026 CTS joins the range alongside the zero tailswing 8025 ZTS in the line-up. The new 2.7tonne machine offers a conventional layout with a trailer-towable transport weight and increased lifting capacity. The 8026 CTS uses a dedicated boom and dipper arm for greater digging and lifting performance. Increased efficiency allows the 8026 CTS to use the same engine family as the 8025 ZTS, with a similar torque output, but with a
