Volgograd authorities to allot over US$231 million for roads in 2013
The Volgograd region (South) authorities will allot over US$231 million (RUB 7bn) for roads in 2013. A total of $82.64 million will be provided for construction, about $92.56 million for repairing and maintaining regional road facilities.

The Volgograd region (South) authorities will allot over US$231 million (RUB 7bn) for roads in 2013. A total of $82.64 million will be provided for construction, about $92.56 million for repairing and maintaining regional road facilities.
The authorities in Saudi Arabia have set plans in motion for 119 road contracts worth a total of US$1.17 billion. The deals are for building new roads as well as maintaining existing links. Some $691.4 million will be used for maintenance work, while $478.6 million will be used to construct new roads. Seven road projects will be carried out in the province of Makkah, four in Qassim and another four in the Madinah province. A major road construction programme worth a total of US$2.31 billion is being planned for Arunachal Pradesh in India. The planned work would see the construction of around 800km of roads, with the programme having been set out by the Indian body, National Highways & Infrastructure Development (NHIDCL). The programme would account for around half of NHIDCL's total investments for India as a whole.
