Elevated highways stretching 34.5km in Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh City may be developed at US$2.68 billion. The Prime Minister and the Ministry of Transport are tweaking the project in a move to lure investors. None have come forward at present.
Bidding is healthy for a section of dual carriageway in Poland linking Kurow with Lublin.
The section is 60km long and has been divided by the Polish General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA) into five separate bids.
Work is now underway on the Lo Te-Rach Soi Highway in Vietnam. The new link runs for 53.34km and connects Kien Giang with Can Tho. The first stage of this project is costing in the order of US$298.62 million. Work on the project will take 30 months to complete.
The Indian Government is looking to upgrade its road links and also improve the condition of many road links right across the country, with a view to improving safety, as well as transportation. A series of infrastructure plans are being implemented, aimed at improving road conditions in the country.
