At one point, a wheel loader is seen charging in from the left, coming to the rescue of his overturned fellow loader. He almost rights the stricken machine that is lying on its side.

After the dust had settle, their site managers might have had something to say about their use of company equipment.

So where exactly to old dozers go to die? Are they carted off to a special scrapyard where the ‘carcass’ is broken down after all useable parts are stripped away?

In the US state of Nevada, one onlooker videoed the final moments of an old bull dozer – apparently an International Harvester, according to one viewer. %$Linker: 2 External <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-16"?><dictionary /> 0 0 0 oLinkExternal Click here Visit Youtube \Video false https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0rDhY7GMJeI false false%> to watch as a tracked front loader picks it clean and tries hard to bash down the remaining hulk into small bits. JCB will launch 427 and 437 wheeled loaders at Bauma, powered by Stage IIIB/Tier 4 Interim Cummins engines. First seen in prototype form at last year’s Intermat show, the two loaders are powered by the Cummins QSB6.7 engine, which offers a 9.4% increase in torque over the previous model. This drives through a lock-up converter and customers can choose a standard four-speed or optional five-speed transmission, which delivers a 16% drop in fuel consumption. In-cab noise levels have been reduced to just 68dB(A

  • Tappen Zee Bridge box seat is the best in the house
    May 21, 2015
Bridge construction has sometimes been called theatre, with many acts and players building up to a finale. There is no better place to watch good theatre than from a prestigious box seat. This is especially true for the new Tappen Zee Bridge that is taking shape across the Hudson River in the US state of New York. In this case the box seat is just that – a box that sits high atop the old bridge, and it is occupied by a pair of peregrine falcons and their three babies. The family can be seen on-line thanks

    January 6, 2017
Deutz used bauma to show two hybrid projects it is currently working on, including a hybrid drive for excavators and an innovative start/stop system for compact wheeled loaders. The hybrid drive is based on using a 160kW Deutz TCD 6.1 L6 engine with an integrated motor-generator. The engine is linked to an on-board electrical power network that uses super capacitors, a power inverter and an electric slew motor, allowing components to harvest, store and use electrical energy, specifically for slewing functio
