If you ever have to outrun the police in a vehicle chase, forget about using a car, or motorcycle or scooter. Use a bicycle, as this suspect somewhere in America did. It looks like he made it, too.
A thief was arrested after police realised the parking tickets left on the car provided clues to where it had been left. The man had used the stolen car as a getaway vehicle, escaping along a busy highway by driving in the wrong direction and then abandoning it. However police investigating the crime quickly spotted the pile of parking tickets the vehicle had collected, which showed exactly where it had been left, in a space reserved for residents outside the thief’s home. Police stopped a student driving a Peugeot car that had been partially stripped of parts. The vehicle had no doors, lights or bonnet (hood) and the driver was using hand signals to indicate direction. He had driven the vehicle 5km on his way to a recycling centre to scrap the vehicle when stopped, having previously removed other parts to sell online.
The very people who urge drivers to use more caution are not immune to driving errors themselves, as the video here shows.
