At least one of the riders in the Mexican president's police motorcycle escort may require some extra driver education classes. While riding at high speed through capital Mexico City, the lead police rider neglected to slow down before driving over a speed bump. Police in the US state of Ohio recently found themselves in a high-speed pursuit involving a vehicle taken without its owner’s consent. The chase lasted for around one hour and the vehicle hit speeds of up to 160km/h during the pursuit, which covered a distance of around 72km in all between Cleveland and Milan. Some friends in the US decided to turn a toy Barbie Mustang car into something rather more entertaining. The men fitted a Honda motorcycle engine and new driveline components, including go-kart tyres. This allowed a top speed of 115km/h, which it could reach in just six seconds, making it rather lively and spirited and also difficult to control. A British man has cycled around the UK, carrying his dog with him on his bicycle. The man cycled some 4,000km over a four-month period, sleeping in a tent along the way. He took his dog along for the trip and as the animal injured its paws running alongside, opted to transport the animal on the bicycle as well.
