The 1331 VDMA (German Engineering Federation) has published a new short guideline for construction companies and dealers on non-EU legislation compliant construction machines.

Titled ‘What do your risk, when you use, buy or sell a non-compliant construction machine?’ the VDMA guideline addresses all that use, buy or sell construction machines in the EU.

Construction equipment made available on the EU market must comply with the relevant EU-legislation and meet all valid safety and environmental requirements. Machinery which does not fulfil these requirements is non-compliant and is not allowed to be placed on the EU-market.

Dealers and construction companies which are caught when using, selling or buying non-compliant machines in the EU face serious problems. The guideline outlines the consequences in terms of reputation, business and liabilities that companies may have to face when acting illegally.

The VDMA Guideline is available for download in English and German language at %$Linker: External 0 0 0 oLinkExternal www.vdma.org/construction vdma false http://www.vdma.org/construction false false%>
