Uzbekistan 2013 road construction and repair works to cost around US$464.5mn
Around US$464.5 million is due to be spent building or upgrading more than 520km of roads in Uzbekistan during 2013, according to national road construction company Uzavtoyul. The extra-budgetary regional road fund will pay for the works.

Funding worth some €177.5 million from the European Commission (EC) will pay for a highway construction project in Romania. This non-refundable financing will pay for the construction of a 27.4km stretch of the Lugoj-Dumbrava highway. This section forms part of Lugoj-Deva highway that is itself a part of the Pan-European Corridor IV. The Moscow Construction Department has announced that the country’s financial issues will not halt current construction projects in the capital. Some US$1.23 billion will be spent on the development of roads in Moscow during 2015. The funds will be spent on building 83km of roads, 23 engineering structures, and 20 cross walks.

A major programme of investment is underway on Austria’s highway network. Austrian highway company Asfinag says that it is investing some €7 billion in building new links and upgrading existing connections. This six year programme will run until 2020.
