The Italian 3418 Construction Equipment Association, 2539 Unacea, continues to grow with the addition of new members. Set up just 12 months ago, the body represents most of the earthmoving equipment industry in Italy. The latest addition to its membership is of 2595 Simem, the concrete batching equipment specialist and UNACEA says that it now represents several producers of concrete equipment. As a result UNACEA says it will extend the activities devoted to this sector. It has already started such activities by carrying out statistical surveys of truck mixers, truck mixer-pumps, truck mounted pumps and concrete batching plants. The organisation is open to all Italian construction equipment manufacturers. It is a member of 3399 CECE, the 2440 Committee for European Construction Equipment, which covers the national associations of 13 countries representing around 1,200 firms.
