Ukravtodor tenders for major new Ukraine roads

The State Highway Agency of Ukraine (Ukravtodor) has prepared concession tenders for the construction of seven new roads – including three major projects worth a combined US$5.083 billion. The State Highway Agency of Ukraine (2780 UkrAvTodor) has prepared concession tenders for the construction of seven new roads – including three major projects worth a combined US$5.083 billion.

The biggest individual road builds are the first and the second stages of the Big Kiev Bypass from Kiev - Chernigov - Novye Yarilovichi highway to Kiev - Kovel - Yagodin (151.6km long) worth $3.02 billion (UAH 24.9bn); the 258km long highway Krakovets - Lvov - Brody - Rovno valued at $1.59 billion (UAH 13bn), and the 209km long highway from the check point Shcherbakovka on the border with Russia to Kharkov and Novomoskovsk worth $473.39 million (UAH 3.9bn).

Conditions for participation in tenders will be announced to concessioners in autumn 2013.

    A new bypass project is being planned for Krasnodar in Russia. Building work for the Krasnodar’s North-West Bypass is expected to commence in 2018. The 57km bypass project includes building two overpasses and seven interchanges. Construction of this new bypass will join the M4 Don highway with the Yeyskoye Highway and the Krasnodar-Temryuk-Bely route.
