Turkish firms bidding for Bosnian project

Bosnian Minister of Transport and Telecoms, Damir Hadzic, who is currently visiting Turkey has reported that there is a possibility that Turkey could be awarded a concession for construction of the southern part of the Corridor Vc motorway through Bosnia. He made his announcement for the Andoli agency. He said that he already held several talks with Turkish companies for construction of the motorway. Bosnian Minister of Transport and Telecoms, Damir Hadzic, who is currently visiting Turkey has reported that there is a possibility that Turkey could be awarded a concession for construction of the southern part of the Corridor Vc motorway through Bosnia. He made his announcement for the Andoli agency. He said that he already held several talks with Turkish companies for construction of the motorway. The project value is expected to reach approximately EUR 2bn (USD 2.63bn). Mr Hadzic said that Bosnia could sign a special cooperation model with Bosnia for the upcoming project. The project is of strategic importance for the country. However, he said that Bosnia is lacking necessary funding.

    Around two-thirds of the Corridor 5c motorway project is expected to be completed by 2020, according to the director of the Bosnian motorways company JP Autoceste.
