Trimble Contractor Mobile App
2122 Trimble released a mobile business management app designed for small site and utility contractors: Trimble Contractor, on stand N11766 at Conexpo. Trimble Contractor brings the office to the field, giving contractors an affordable and easy way to manage common office tasks on a smartphone or tablet.

"Smaller contractors don’t have a lot of time to do paperwork, which can lead to delayed or missed revenue opportunities,” said Scott Crozier, segment manager for Trimble Heavy Civil Construction. “Trimble Contractor helps companies minimise paperwork, automate processes and organise their business more efficiently from the field.”

Trimble Contractor is available for Android and iOS mobile devices, allowing employees and owners to create, send and track quotes, purchase orders, change orders and invoices directly on their smartphone or tablet. The mobile app helps improve communications with customers, while providing accurate material charges, proof of changes or variations, and invoice payment tracking, which can have a positive impact on a small construction company’s bottom line.

Site diaries are created to track daily activities or check site progress against quotes, and are also used as a digital timesheet. By monitoring project progress, issues can be identified and corrected quickly, and timesheets can be verified and documented. Additionally, site instructions can be created and sent to employees so contractors can ensure their crews are focused on the right projects with the right prioritisation.

Data from the Trimble Contractor app can be exported as a .CSV file for easy integration into third-party accounting and payroll systems.
