Transstroy receives loan for Sochi route

Construction company Transstroy has taken out a loan of US$128 million from the Bank of Moscow for construction of a relief road for Kurortny Prospect in Sochi, Russia, from the M-27 federal highway Dzhubga-Sochi.

Construction company 3382 Transstroy has taken out a loan of US$128 million from the Bank of Moscow for construction of a relief road for Kurortny Prospect in Sochi, Russia, from the M-27 federal highway Dzhubga-Sochi.

Extensive road works are taking place in the Black Sea resort in preparation for its hosting of the XXII Olympic Winter Games and XI Paralympic Winter Games in 2014.

    Loans from the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the EU will finance highway work in Georgia. The funds will be used to pay for the construction of the high-speed motor road running from West – East across Georgia. The EIB will give a long-term preferential credit worth €170 million, while the EU will provide a €20 million grant. As part of the project, a four lane highway measuring 52km will be built from Samtrediya – Grigoleti, while the 16km section Grigoleti - Kobuleti stretch will be repaired.

    Malaysia’s West Coast Expressway company has reported that it will inject nearly US$425 million into its West Coast Expressway project. Total cost of the West Coast Expressway, which will stretch 233km between Banting in Selangor state and Taiping in Perak state on the Malaysian peninsula, is expected to be around $1.56 billion.
