342 Topcon Positioning Group has released a new workflow management system designed to connect all of a contractor’s sites, data, crews and equipment.

Unveiled at Conexpo 2014 this week, Topcon ENTERPRISE Solutions offers constant communication, data sharing, scheduling, updating, support activities and accurate productivity data in real-time, no matter where the job or office is located.

Chief Marketing Officer of Topcon Positioning Group, Ewout Korpershoek, said the cloud-based Topcon ENTERPRISE Solutions provides “seamless connectivity from any office or remote user, to any site, to each enabled machine and field crew, throughout the entire project life cycle.”

“It’s highly adaptable to the workflow needs of a company, and expandable to collaborative projects of any kind, anywhere. Its objective is to speed project completion and minimize resource consumption,” said Korpershoek.

“Data is the central point-of-truth that allows all project phases to work together in a cloud-based environment to provide authoritative, transparent field solutions. This produces a tighter, seamless workflow that increases productivity, enhances asset and material management, and improves job site safety and quality control.”

The system is designed to allow users quicker accessibility to - and better management of - increasing volumes of data to increase a company’s efficiency.

Integrating data in a cloud-based environment from Topcon software services like Sitelink3d or Magnet allows users to make time-sensitive decisions faster.

“Topcon ENTERPRISE Solutions can keep customers up-to-date with instant progress reports, allowing them to deploy resources where and when they are needed. For a company to grow and prosper,” Korpershoek said. “It has to work smarter and eliminate waste at every phrase.”

The system can also be deployed to key partners of the company, such as engineers and sub-contractors, enabling instant updating of job files, material volumes and equipment schedules instantly with assured accuracy.
“The time and resource cost savings achieved by eliminating manual or independent electronic data distribution can more than pay for the average service subscription,” Korpershoek said.

In addition to site and data management, ENTERPRISE Solutions also includes the option to activate a corporate Topcon TotalCare account, providing immediate access to online training and technical support for virtually all Topcon products.
