342 Topcon Europe has introduced a new series of affordable lasers and levels under its new 2LS brand to bridge the gap between do-it-yourself lasers and industrial quality lasers and surveying instruments used on large construction and civil engineering projects.
Four new models are available under the 2LS brand – Orion automatic levels, Gemini series interior lasers, Leo series of line lasers and the Taurus rotating laser system. Topcon says the new models are suitable for house building, concrete forming, dry wall and ceiling installations.
Sunward is keen to further develop its dealership coverage within Europe, which the firm sees as being crucial to increasing its sales. The company is already present in the European market and is actively boosting its profile, as Dr He Qinghua, chairman of the Sunward Equipment Group and also director of the company’s research and development centre, explained. He said, “We have some dealers in Europe and we are planning to enlarge the number of them.”
Following the success of its XADN tyre for articulated dump trucks, Michelin has further enhanced the tyre’s construction to include better sidewall protection against damage from rocks and foreign objects. Called the XADN+, the new version is also claimed to offer improved tyre life – typically 8-10% over the XADN version said the French maker – while simultaneously reducing rolling resistance as a result of removing 14kg of dead weight from the tyre.
