342 Topcon Europe has introduced a new series of affordable lasers and levels under its new 2LS brand to bridge the gap between do-it-yourself lasers and industrial quality lasers and surveying instruments used on large construction and civil engineering projects.
Four new models are available under the 2LS brand – Orion automatic levels, Gemini series interior lasers, Leo series of line lasers and the Taurus rotating laser system. Topcon says the new models are suitable for house building, concrete forming, dry wall and ceiling installations.
The Daemonator struck fear into the hearts of its competitors during INTERMAT, according to Won-Hae Lee, chairman of Korean attachment firm Daemo Engineering. Complete with flashing lights and intimidating electronic voice, the attachment-wielding 2.4m high robot, modelled loosely on a Transformers character, uses Daemo’s hammers, shears, compaction plates and grabs as part of its construction.

The smallest of Wacker Neuson’s new five-strong DT series of crawler-mounted dumpers being showcased at INTERMAT 2012, the DT05 has a loading capacity of 0.5tonnes and a machine width of just 66cm.
