342 Topcon Europe has introduced a new series of affordable lasers and levels under its new 2LS brand to bridge the gap between do-it-yourself lasers and industrial quality lasers and surveying instruments used on large construction and civil engineering projects.
Four new models are available under the 2LS brand – Orion automatic levels, Gemini series interior lasers, Leo series of line lasers and the Taurus rotating laser system. Topcon says the new models are suitable for house building, concrete forming, dry wall and ceiling installations.
Launched at INTERMAT in prototype form, the SV100-1 is now Yanmar’s largest excavator. Tipping the scales at 10.3tonnes, the reduced tailswing midi excavator gets a two-piece boom and additional counterweight. Powered by a 54.7kW 4TNV98T engine, the excavator offers a 4.48m dig depth, sits on 450mm wide rubber tracks, and measures 2.3m wide. A fourth auxiliary circuit is available as an option.
The AV 120 X asphalt roller is the latest addition to the family of articulated tandem rollers produced by Ammann. Equipped with 1880mm wide drums, the AV 120 X has been produced for efficient compaction on asphalt mixes and binder courses. Auger Torque has introduced a torque measuring device which fits between its auger drivers and the dipper end and measures the torque applied to screw anchors. A Bluetooth readout shows the torque applied enabling contractors top confirm they have achieved the minimum depth and torque requirements set by the civil engineer.
