Terex Finaly has based the J-1170 on its proven jaw system
3501 Terex Finlay has developed the J-1170 primary mobile jaw crusher.

Built around the proven 1,100mmx700mm jaw crusher, the machine is intended for primary reduction and product sizing of blasted rock and ore material.

The J-1170 is powered by a choice of Tier 3/Stage IIIA 178 Caterpillar C9 engine delivering 261kW, or a Tier 4 Interim/Stage IIIB 759 Scania DC9 that puts out 257kW.

The jaw chamber is hydrostatically driven, offering operators a reversible action in the event of a blockage. The system also provides variable chamber speed to suit different applications, plus chamber closed side setting (CSS) adjustment that can be changed very quickly.

The J-1170 has a variable-speed grizzly feeder with integrated pre-screen, providing an aggressive action to separate fines efficiently.

Equipped with a 9.6m3 hopper, with self-locking mechanism to speed set-up and teardown, the machine has a transport weight of 45tonnes.
