1222 Terex Cranes is using Intermat as the launch venue for its new Challenger 3160 all-terrain crane. Terex said the Challenger 3160 is the only fully equipped, three-axle, 55-tonne capacity crane designed for one-man operation.
Ammapax is the simple and cost-effective solution from Ammann to suppress noise levels for those operating plants close to residential areas. Available in three different designs that can reduce noise pressure levels by up to 10 dB, 15 dB and 20 dB, the Ammapax does not require any additional installation space, as it is lowered into the mixing plant’s chimney and fixed to the chimney opening using four bolts. It can also be used in third party plants, said the company.
Terex’s new all-terrain and truck cranes are said to offer high performance lifting capabilities for use in a diverse range of applications. The new, mid-size all-terrain crane has been specifically developed to address the needs of the North American market. Liebherr has developed the LTM1750-9.1, a nine-axle all-terrain crane with a maximum lift capacity of 750 tonnes. The 52m telescopic boom machine is carried by the machine and offers a 154m maximum lift height, with a maximum working radius of 112m. A luffing fly jib can be added in 3.5m increments to take maximum lift height to 91m. Weighing in at 108 tonnes in transport configuration, the LTM puts down 12 tonnes per axle. However if the machine’s boom supports are removed the crane can travel at 11 tonnes
