1222 Terex Cranes is using Intermat as the launch venue for its new Challenger 3160 all-terrain crane. Terex said the Challenger 3160 is the only fully equipped, three-axle, 55-tonne capacity crane designed for one-man operation.
Terex Cranes has replaced its CC2800-1 crawler crane with the Superlift 3800 lattice boom, offering improved speed and efficiency for customers. The 3800 can handle loads of up to 650tonnes at a radius of 5-12m and has a maximum load moment of 8,426t/m. The latest wheeled loader from Terex – the TL120 – not only features a 16% more powerful 74.4kW Stage IIIB-compliant Deutz engine, but uses the Terex Smart Control operating system to increase fuel efficiency.
The 7.1tonne machine uses a menu system similar to that found on a smartphone to configure the machine for specific applications.

This is the first crane model Zoomlion has developed following its acquisition of a German specialist in 2011. Lifting capacity is said to be good for this class of machine, which offers high performance and productivity and also comes with an array of safety features.
