TEM Italy building sites to start work on 11 June 2012

Italian motorway construction and management firm Tangenziali Esterne Milano (TEM) has revealed that work at the building sites for the Rivoltana-Truccazzano stretch of the east Milan ring road will start on 11 June 2012. The total cost of the project is expected to reach US$ 2.51bn (€2bn).

    The latest official statistics from the Italian authorities show an improving road safety situation. Italy's statistics institute Istat has data showing that road accidents decreased by 1.9% to 211,404 in 2010.     Slovak national motorway company NDS plans to start the reconstruction and modernisation of the D1 motorway section between Bratislava and Trnava in H2 2014.
