The projects feature a total estimated investment of US$2.16 billion. The highway concessions form part of a $6.9 billion infrastructure project to construct  Antioquia’s Autopistas para la Prosperidad highway system. Colombia is investing heavily in infrastructure and its latest programme involves the construction of no less than 30 highways, as well as port and airport concessions. The 46km Pacífico 1 highway includes the construction of two tunnels and 20 bridges. The Pacífico 2 highway comprises a 41km section from Bolombolo to La Pintada with a 2.5km tunnel and 33 bridges, and the 54km section from La Pintada to La Primavera. The 231km Pacífico 3 highway is split into six sections and includes the construction of 26 bridges and three tunnels. ANI is evaluating the offers being made and will select 10 for pre-qualification before the actual bidding process is opened.
