The Austrian group 945 Strabag has been awarded a two-year contract worth €34.6mn for the modernisation of a 48km stretch of the national road M2 in the Republic of Moldova. The upgrade route runs between Ghindesti and Drochia.

Austria’s new A5 autobahn is now officially open to traffic and the highway is also the first in the country being built under the PPP model.
