Chinese contractor 5544 Sinohydro is to start a road construction project in Moldova worth €48 million. It is likely to be the first of several Chinese companies to carry out work in the country.
International interest is strong in Colombia’s infrastructure expansion. Five foreign firms are competing in the country’s 4G road tender process. A €150 million budget has been set aside by the Moldavian Ministry of Transport and Road Infrastructure for upgrades to 200km of the country’s major highway links.
