Stage 2 works on North Luzon Expressway in Philippines underway

Manila North Tollways Corp (MNTC) has started work on stage two of the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) in the Philippines. The US$245.76 million (PHP 10bn) stage involves an 8km road between the Harbour Link and the Smart Connect Interchange in Manila. The project also includes the construction of Segment Nine and Segment 10, earmarked for completion in 12 and 24 months respectively. 7158 Manila North Tollways Corporation (MNTC) has started work on stage two of the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) in the Philippines. The US$245.76 million (PHP 10bn) stage involves an 8km road between the Harbour Link and the Smart Connect Interchange in Manila.

The project also includes the construction of Segment Nine and Segment 10, earmarked for completion in 12 and 24 months respectively. Segment Nine will connect MacArthur Highway with the Valenzuela NLEX Main via a 2.4km link and costs $41.7 million (PHP 1.7bn), while the cost of Segment 10, which is a 5.65km link between C-3 Road and MacArthur Highway, stands at $155.283 million (PHP 6.33bn).

The proposal for the project has been made by Manila North Tollways, a subsidiary of Metro Pacific Investments.
