St Petersburg road contracts’ value could hit US $ 443.15mn in 2012

St Petersburg’s road building and repair projects could be valued at US $443.15 million (RUB 14.10bn) by the end of 2012, according to Russian daily newspaper Kommersant. The main contractors said to be bidding for projects are Mostostroy 6; Mostootrayd 19; Vozrozhdenie; Dorozhnik-92; VAD; Buer; ABZ Dorstroy; Pylon; Lendorstroy-2; and Akros.

St Petersburg’s road building and repair projects could be valued at US $443.15 million (RUB 14.10bn) by the end of 2012, according to Russian daily newspaper 6440 Kommersant.

The main contractors said to be bidding for projects are 6441 Mostostroy 6; Mostootrayd 19; 6442 Vozrozhdenie; Dorozhnik-92; VAD; Buer; ABZ Dorstroy; Pylon; Lendorstroy-2; and Akros. More recent to the market contractors are said to have captured 25% of contracts during the past ten years. The largest (by the number of state contracts) are Orion Plus; Akros; Lendorstroy; and Divny Grad.

The requirements for state contract tender participants have been tightened recently. However, minimal implementation price remains the main selection criteria.

Main contract seeking firms are reported as saying there is not enough projects for stable company development and the setting up of new enterprises in St. Petersburg.
