Spanish firm wins Senegal bridge and highway upgrades

The authorities in Senegal have awarded a US$ 142.6 million package of works to Spanish contractor Isolux. The work involves construction of two stretches of the RN6 highway measuring some 194.5km in total. Also included in the deal is work to the new bridge at Kolda. The project will involve widening, improvement and modification works to the highway. The areas where work will be carried out lie between the Casamance River and the border with Guinea Bissau and in the towns of Kolda and Ziguinchor.
