Optimised for use with the Trimble Access field software and the Trimble R4 GNSS receiver, the Trimble Slate Controller supports a surveyor’s workflows. Offering voice, SMS text, and 3.75G cellular data transfer capabilities on GSM cellular networks worldwide, the Trimble Slate Controller allows better connectivity in the field. Its wireless communication capabilities keep surveyors in the field connected to the office. An integrated 8megapixel camera offers enhanced job documentation and point attribution by providing geo-tagged, high-quality digital photos. The Trimble Slate Controller is slimline while its screen allows daylight reading and is designed to withstand tough conditions. Trimble Access field software available on the Trimble Slate Controller offers a variety of features and capabilities to streamline topographic, stakeout, control and other surveying applications. Partnered with Trimble Access and the Trimble R4 GNSS receiver, the Trimble Slate Controller provides a dedicated GNSS solution that is effective for both real time and post-processed GNSS surveys.

Hidromek is commencing work on developing its new wheeled loader line. Export manager Anil Bingöl said, “We have started our wheeled loader project and we hope to have our first prototype machine this year.” This will feature a 3m3 bucket and will be the first in a range of wheeled loaders from the firm. Machines with bucket capacities of 4m3 and then 5m3 will be developed in due course. Engcon has introduced a new range of tilt-rotators, using a cast housing to greatly increase capacity.
The EC218 and EC226 replace the EC15 and EC20 respectively. The former is suitable for machines up to 18tonnes in operating weight, while the latter is designed for excavators up to 26 tonnes. The cast housing incorporates internal lubrication channels for centralised greasing, reducing the risk of dust ingress or damage while operating. Larger bushes are used to reduce the chance of play in the housing
