Siberian highway rebuild

A budget of close to US$11 billion is being set aside to rebuild the Elantsy-Khuzhir highway in Siberia.

A budget of close to US$11 billion is being set aside to rebuild the Elantsy-Khuzhir highway in Siberia. The section in Olkhon district will be rebuilt first. Other stretches requiring reconstruction include the Irkutsk-Kachug-Zakhal section in the Ekhirit-Bulagat district and Pivovarikha-Novolisikha in the Irkutsk district.

  • Siberian road development projects planned

    A series of road development projects will be carried out in Siberia’s Irktusk Region. The programme of works will be carried out during the 2019-2024 period. Repairs will be carried out to 350km of roads while 200km of new roads will be constructed during the entire programme. In 2019 alone, the plan calls for 140km of roads to be rebuilt.
