Siberian highway rebuild

A budget of close to US$11 billion is being set aside to rebuild the Elantsy-Khuzhir highway in Siberia.

A budget of close to US$11 billion is being set aside to rebuild the Elantsy-Khuzhir highway in Siberia. The section in Olkhon district will be rebuilt first. Other stretches requiring reconstruction include the Irkutsk-Kachug-Zakhal section in the Ekhirit-Bulagat district and Pivovarikha-Novolisikha in the Irkutsk district.

The Ministry for Public Works announced it is setting aside close to US$347 million for maintenance work on the country's highways during 2015.
