The new ringroad around Novi Sad in Serbia is now open to traffic.

The new ringroad around Novi Sad in Serbia is now open to traffic. The 8.5km link forms part of the E75 Novi Sad-Belgrade highway. Construction is estimated to have cost some €102 million and included rebuilding the Beska Bridge. Funding was provided by the 1054 European Investment Bank (EIB). In all some €207 million has been spent in the 2006-2010 rebuilding 2,000 roads in Serbia.

    Funding worth some €177.5 million from the European Commission (EC) will pay for a highway construction project in Romania. This non-refundable financing will pay for the construction of a 27.4km stretch of the Lugoj-Dumbrava highway.   • Funding for Croatia's road infrastructure

    The European Investment Bank (EIB) has approved two loans worth €85 million for Croatia's road infrastructure. The first part of the loan is worth €60 million and will be used for construction of the Corridor Vc highway. The deal was signed between the EIB and Croatian motorways company Hrvatske Autoceste (HAC). The loan will finance 50% of the construction of the Corridor Vc highway.
