The new ringroad around Novi Sad in Serbia is now open to traffic.

The new ringroad around Novi Sad in Serbia is now open to traffic. The 8.5km link forms part of the E75 Novi Sad-Belgrade highway. Construction is estimated to have cost some €102 million and included rebuilding the Beska Bridge. Funding was provided by the 1054 European Investment Bank (EIB). In all some €207 million has been spent in the 2006-2010 rebuilding 2,000 roads in Serbia.

    A Chinese contractor looks likely to be building sections of the Corridor 11 highway in Serbia. This follows successful discussions between Serbia and China. These relate to the sections of Corridor 11 from Preljina to Pozega and from Pozega to Boljare that lead towards the border with neighbouring Montenegro.     Plans are now being drawn up for a series of projects that will form part of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). Four road projects worth over US$3.32 billion have been added to the CPEC programme. The Chinese Government is now in agreement with the plans for the CPEC. One of the new roads being built will run from Naukundi, through Mashkel and to Panjgur. The road will join National highway N-40 with CPEC Route N-85, and the Zhob-Kuchlak route.
