Serbian highway

Serbia’s Ministry of Infrastructure intends for work to start on the Corridor 10 highway project during 2010. This is a major project and has been split into several sections, with a total cost of €800 million. The ministry has already signed the contract with a Serbian consortium to build a 110km section of the Horgos- Novi Sad highway. Tenders will be called for shortly for tunnel projects near Dimitrovgrad, worth €60 million, for part of the €38 million Grdelica to Grabovnica road, and for the Neredovac-

This is a major project and has been split into several sections, with a total cost of €800 million. The ministry has already signed the contract with a Serbian consortium to build a 110km section of the Horgos- Novi Sad highway.     The authorities in Serbia are pushing ahead with plans for the Corridor 10 and Corridor 11 highways. Serbia's national state owned highway company, Koridori Srbije, has awarded the contract for advisory services for the €1.9 billion Corridor 10 project to French company Egis International. Under the terms of the deal Egis will provide support for construction of 83.4km of the E-80 highway between the City of Nis and the Bulgarian border at Dimitrovgrad.

    In Serbia some million is being spent on developing the Corridor 10 and 11 highways during 2012. The work being carried out by Serbian roads company Koridori Srbije will include the 22km Ipsilon arm on Corridor 10, which will run from Kelebija to Subotica.
